Meet Dr.Quarterman

I am a board-certified Internal Medicine physician with over 10 years of experience in practicing medicine. I completed my medical school training and Florida State University College of Medicine, graduating in 2010, and completed residency training at the Orlando Health Internal Medicine program in 2013.

Internal Medicine training differs from Family Medicine as it does not include pediatrics and focuses on more in depth education of chronic disease management in adults.

I was born and raised in Orlando, FL. I am a rare Florida native! I enjoy the beach and spending time with my husband and children.

Why did you go into Direct Primary Care?

After working for a large corporate health system for many years, I was burned out by the constant pressure to see more patients and complete more charting and paperwork required by hospital administration and insurance companies. I felt that the center of primary care- the patients and their health- was lost and no longer the focus of medical care. I left primary care for a job in clinical research for a better work-life balance, however, in that time, I missed the connections with my patients and the ability to help diagnose and manage care.

My desire for connection and clinical care has brought me back to primary care, and direct primary care allows me to spend time listening to my patients and to create personalized healthcare without rushing through visits. The time that I formerly spent charting and trying to meet insurance and hospital metrics can now be spent meeting the needs of my patients and coordinating care for them.

I hope you can see the value that this healthcare model brings to the physician-patient relationship and I look forward to taking amazing care of you and your family!
